When you choose this command, the Add dialog box appears, in which you can add a positive or negative amount to the values of the specified MIDI data type (velocity, durations, or continuous data) for all selected notes. You could add a certain amount to the key velocity data for every note, for example, or make a pitch bend less "deep."
