A staff style can be added to either the current part/score or the score and parts (depending on the command chosen under the Staff menu or Staff context menu). See Apply Staff Style To submenu.
When a staff style is
deleted from the score or a part, it is also deleted from both the score
and corresponding part(s). When a part is created from a staff that contains staff
styles, all staff styles on the staff are copied to the part.
- Staff Style
definitions are permanently shared.
- Any conflicts
with other staff Styles will be resolved individually per Part.
- When deleting
a Staff Style in the Score, Finale also deletes it from the corresponding part(s) and vise versa.
- When a new
part is created, all Staff Styles on corresponding staves in the score
will be copied to the new part.
- Select a
region of measures and choose "Use Selected Staff Style for Score and Parts"
to update the presence or absence of staff styles to match the selected region for the score and corresponding part(s).
Staff styles can be used to create two representations
of the same part. You can create a new part containing a copy of, for
example, the bass clef baritone staff and apply a staff style that displays
it in B flat treble clef. For steps, see To display a staff differently in one part
than another.
