It’s most effective to use the Edit command to change the display for an occasional individual multimeasure rest in the score. Occasionally you may need to adjust a multimeasure rest to make room for clef changes, for example. Or, you might need to change a rest so the number of rests doesn’t appear. Use the settings in the Document menu’s Multimeasure Rest command to control how you want most of your multimeasure rests to appear throughout your score.
